We are looking to hire an experienced Marketing Events Coordinator in the Merrillville, Indiana market.

Job Description

  • Research and find Events and Shows within our assigned territory
  • Negotiate Contracts with the Event Vendors
  • Book an annual calendar of Events and Shows
  • Recruit, hire and train Event Demonstrators
  • Schedule Demonstrators to work Events
  • Coordinate booth and display set-up and tear down
  • Set appointments for a Free In-Home Consultation at the Events and Shows
  • Collect Contest Entries
  • Follow up on the Contest Entries and schedule them for a Free In-Home Consultation
  • Measure and report results

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage Inbound Phone Calls
  • Building job packets and filing as needed
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of social media strategy
  • Assist in coordinating company events and functions
  • Addressing follow-up phone calls and emails from installs
  • Assist Management on projects as needed
  • Social media research, planning, posting and tracking across all platforms
  • Maintain and update company website
  • Support company’s public relation efforts
  • Research and find events and shows within our assigned territory
  • Book an annual calendar of events and shows
  • Recruit, hire, train and schedule event demonstrators
  • Coordinate booth and display set-up and tear down
  • Set appointments for a Free In-Home Consultation at the Events and Shows
  • Follow up on Contest Entry submissions and schedule for a Free In-Home Consultation
  • Measure and report results

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years Marketing/Office Administration Experience
  • Competency in self training or existing knowledge of social media and new media
  • Results driven with strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative, open minded and enthusiastic about creating new opportunities for marketing.
  • Critical Thinking and Detail Oriented
  • Positive, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to coach, train and motivate others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Must be available to work weekends
